About Us
Bhadrasri Ayurveda is a traditional Ayurvedic clinic led by Dr. Rahul Govindan, B.A.M.S., continuing a respected lineage of classical healing rooted in generations of Vaidya practice. With decades of clinical experience, the clinic offers authentic Ayurvedic care focused on treating the root cause of disease and restoring long-term balance.
Dr. Rahul has treated a wide spectrum of chronic conditions including spine disorders, asthma, respiratory illnesses, skin diseases, digestive problems, insomnia, infertility and urinary disorders. Every consultation goes beyond prescribing medicines. Treatment plans integrate classical herbal formulations, Panchakarma therapies, diet correction, physiotherapy, yoga and breathing practices, along with clear lifestyle guidance so patients actively participate in their recovery.
Working closely with his mentor, the late Dr. Nalini Karunakaran, Dr. Rahul helped develop effective therapeutic combinations for conditions such as alopecia and piles, and explored Ek Dravya Chikitsa (single-drug therapy) for long-standing diseases. His approach blends traditional wisdom with practical modern rehabilitation, creating personalized treatment programs for each patient.
Bhadrasri Ayurveda also reflects a deep respect for medicinal plants. A dedicated herbal garden in Karjat supports the clinic’s commitment to authenticity and quality in medicine preparation. Known for patience, clarity and sincere care, Dr. Rahul believes Ayurveda is a science of restoring harmony — not just relieving symptoms, but strengthening the body and mind.
Backed by traditional lineage, classical training and compassionate healing, Bhadrasri Ayurveda offers trusted care for those seeking natural, holistic wellness.
About Dr.Rahul Govindan
Dr. Rahul Govindan represents a living tradition of classical Ayurvedic healing passed down through generations. Born into a respected Vaidya family with roots in northern Kerala, he grew up surrounded by the discipline and philosophy of Ayurveda. His grandfather, Karunakaran Vaidya, began practice in Mumbai in 1944, and the legacy was later carried forward by the late Dr. Nalini Karunakaran, his mentor and guiding influence. Under her close supervision, he developed not only clinical skill but a deep respect for patient-centered healing.
He completed his B.A.M.S. in 1996 from R.A. Podar Medical College, Mumbai, and further strengthened his training at AVP Coimbatore and Poonthotham Ayurvedasram in Palakkad under Dr. PMS Ravindranath. There he gained hands-on experience in authentic Panchakarma therapies and the preparation of classical Ayurvedic medicines in their traditional form.
